From our home in Harlem, we look outward to these companions: gardeners, educators, advocates, and neighbors whose steady work embodies the Keystones and tends to the public goods of our city.

They turn vacant land into living community. Garden by garden, they work alongside New Yorkers to grow food, build solidarity, and protect green spaces that belong to the people who tend them. 501(c)(3)

Green Guerillas

Brings free weekly programs, games, music, and mentorship, to families across New York City, helping young people build confidence, character, and a foundation for life. 501(c)(3)

Metro World Child

For over 36 years, the Harlem Educational Activities Fund have walked alongside young people from under-resourced communities, opening doors to higher education, enrichment, and meaningful careers. 501(c)(3)

HEAF

NMIC

The Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation offers free legal, housing, health, and education services to Upper Manhattan residents. They help individuals move from crisis to stability, one step at a time. 501(c)(3)

HEP offers free GED, ESL, and vocational programs to adults of all backgrounds, flexible, welcoming, and built around the real lives of the people it serves. Fiscally sponsored project of Tides Center 501(c)(3).

BroSis has been a home for Black and Latinx youth in Harlem, a place to know your history, find your voice, and step into your power. They don't just serve young people. They believe in them. 501(c)(3)

14 farms. 20,000 neighbors. Harlem Grown uses urban agriculture to teach young people where food comes from and what they're capable of. A model of what community care can look like when it starts from the ground up. 501(c)(3)
